5 Reasons Why I Recommend the True Woman Conference

Why I Recommend the True Woman Conference

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of True Woman ’14. All opinions are 100% mine.

5 Reasons Why I Recommend the True Woman Conference
Every year, I sit down with journal, pen, and calendar to prayerfully consider the year ahead and determine my God-given goals. During this time, I fill in my yearly calendar with big events that I know are coming like vacations, birthdays, anniversaries, and conferences.

Every other year, I add the True Woman Conference to my calendar. I share the dates with my husband and together we commit to keeping our schedule clear in order to make it happen no matter where we live or what our job situation is at the time.

The True Woman Conference is a non-negotiable event for my family.

The True Woman Conference is a national women’s conference that takes place every other year in Indianapolis, IN (with their Revive Conference for leaders taking place in between, which I also attend).

This year’s focus of the True Woman Conference is Freedom, Fullness, and Fruitfulness in Christ, and during the weekend of October 9-11, you will find me, along with my husband and two children at True Woman ’14. We are making a family vacation out of it, which I’ll share more about in September. I’m excited to have my family there with me this year!

There are so many women’s conferences available to us. Each year, I’m bombarded with opportunities, requests, and invitations to Christian women’s conferences around the country; yet the True Woman Conference is the one I attend and make a priority each year.

5 Reasons Why I Recommend the True Woman Conference

1. The Gospel of Jesus Christ is the focus

I’m noticing a trend, especially in the American church. More and more churches are turning away from God’s Word and turning to the world for ways to draw people in. This trend spills over into women’s conferences as well.

The True Woman Conference focuses on the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Every single session points women to Jesus Christ. There’s no fluff. Just God’s Word as our focus.

2. Titus 2 is lived out

As women, we long for authentic community. We desire for older women to lead and guide us, taking us under their wings and teaching us to love God and His Word.

True Woman ’14 is a unique opportunity to experience community and deeper relationships with other women. Together, you’ll experience rich times of teaching, worship, prayer, and sharing with each other.

3. The speakers are amazing

With speakers like Nancy Leigh DeMoss, Joni Earekson Tada, Janet Parshall, and Mary Kassian, we’re sure to experience deep biblical teaching and gain practical wisdom for living out our Christian faith.

Topics that I know will be covered at True Woman ’14:

  • Experiencing freedom from bondage
  • Embracing your beautiful design
  • Marveling at the Gospel
  • Delighting in Christ
  • Personalizing God’s Word
  • Maximizing your suffering
  • Investing in relationships
  • Multiplying your life impact
  • and so much more!

4. The cost is affordable

From now until September 15th, the price for the entire weekend is just $149.

When you gather 10 or more to go, you can get $20 off each ticket. This is a great option for church groups!

Yes you have to pay for travel expenses, food, and lodgings, but since the conference only takes place every other year, you can plan for it and make saving for it a priority.

Plus if you go with friends, you can split the cost of a hotel room and consider packing lunches in coolers if you’re within driving distance.

True Woman ’14 is an investment worth making.

5. Change is lasting.

The focus of True Woman ’12 was revival. I left that conference forever changed, and rarely a day goes by that I do not draw from my experience at True Woman ’12.

The central message of True Woman ’12 has shaped my decisions, my longings, and my life in ways that I never imagined. What I learned at True Woman ’12 has left a lasting change.

I expect True Woman ’14 to be just as monumental in my Christian walk.

From time to time, all of us need to take a break from the busyness of life and meet with the Lord in a concentrated way.

That’s what you’ll do at True Woman ’14. It’s your opportunity to slow down, seek the Lord, and embrace His unique design and purpose for you. I have no doubt that you will be challenged, inspired, surprised, and encouraged this year at True Woman ’14.

This is your invitation. I would love to meet you there!

    Leigh Ann,
Thank you for your article. I’m sharing it on Facebook and pinned it to my “events” board on Pinterest.
I’m so excited to be at True Woman ’14 next month. This will be my first time there. I listened to the Revive our Hearts conference via live stream last year but next year I want to go to the conference 🙂
I’m a Revive Our Hearts ministry partner because I believe that that ministry is one of only a few ministries geared towards women that is truly focused on the gospel and teaches sound doctrine.
I really enjoy listening to Nancy’s podcast every morning and have learned so much.
Looking forward to be at the conference. Maybe I’ll see you 🙂
    In Christ,
    Christina

    Leigh Ann,
Do you happen to be going to the True Woman ’18 conference this year? I have a group of 5 ladies that would like to go. None of us have ever gone before. 🙂 We are looking for a group of ladies to buy tickets with so we can get the group rate. Please let me know if you know of a church or group that we can buy tickets through. Thank you!

It is on my calendar, but I’m not yet sure if I will be going. I will be making that decision, Lord willing, in the next month or so. I need to get through the remainder of our homeschool year before I can think about anything else. ha! 🙂 I’m not sure what area you’re in, but I will keep my ear out for a good way to connect people – a group rate sounds great. I love that you already have a group of ladies going. You all will certainly not regret it!
