Welcome back to ‘Tis the Season – aseries focusing on the true meaning of Christmas. I have joined forces with Erin at The Humbled Homemaker and Mindy at The Purposed Heart Simply Designs for a few weeks to help you focus on Christ this holiday season.
What a rich season of celebration and serving this Christmas has been. It is so easy to look at our circumstances and think God has forgotten us, even when we are experiencing depression. But God has not forgotten us, and He is so glad to be called our God.
I am so thankful for truth this holiday season! Doesn’t it make you want to shout to the roof tops? Doesn’t it make you want to sing really loud even though you can’t carry a tune in a bucket?
Well, friends, ’tis the season to sing and rejoice in Jesus Christ our Savior!
My 2 favorite CHRISTmas albums that you should sing really loud every where you go:
1. Glory in the Highest: Christmas Songs of Worship
What about you? What Christmas albums are your favorite?

I love that Christmas album by Christ Tomlin! I forgot all about it ’til I read this post. Need to go get it out right now! 🙂 Thanks for the reminder 😉
No problem, Mindy! 🙂 It’s so wonderful.
I’m too cheap to buy albums…..but I bet that doesn’t surprise you. 🙂 My favorite is whatever is playing on the radio. LOL But I do love Carol of the Bells BEST.
I do the same Stacy!
You should listen in on Grooveshark. I will pull it up on my computer and choose Christmas albums to listen to!
In the past, before I finally found my true church home, I attended churches, where people specifically asked me NOT to sing, because I am tone deaf, and cannot carry a tune. For 2 years now, I have attended my wonderful church, and I ALWAYS sing loud and clear, if not in tune, because it finally occurred to me, GOD gave me my voice that cannot sing in tune, and if HE gave it to me, then He must love it and find it beautiful to hear me singing to Him! And the people at my wonderful church are so good, they love me just as I am, and wouldn’t dream of telling me not to sing. 🙂
Ann, I am so glad to hear that you have found a place to worship FULLY! 🙂 You sing it loud and clear … you’re right. God made you just the way you are. He loves to hear your voice!
I love all Christmas music! My son has been picking up the song and I love to hear him sing. We both can’t carry a tune, lol!
I love it! I can’t wait to hear Samuel singing … very soon! Too soon, probably. 🙂
My favorite BY FAR is Andrew Peterson’s Behold the Lamb of God!!! There’s nothing like it!
I will have to check that one out. I love Behold the Lamb of God. Thanks for sharing!
Todd Agnew’s is my FAVORITE!!!!!!!!!!!!! Love love love it and all the perspectives of it. It’s so neat to listen to it and really go through what it might have been like for each person involved!
I think you’re the one who got me on Todd Agnew’s album. 🙂
I have such a huge collection of Christmas music it’s not even funny. And to pinpoint a favorite is nearly impossible. But Mercy Me’s Christmas album always gets my toes tapping, and Casting Crowns’ Christmas album always touches my heart. Love their rendition of I Heard the Bells!
I’m like you Anne! I’ve never heard Mercy Me’s Christmas album. Will have to remember that one for next year!
