Simple Craft for Little Miss Muffet Nursery Rhyme

As we continue to learn nursery rhymes this summer, Little Miss Muffet quickly became a favorite with my three year old.

We recited the nursery rhyme several times while squealing with as much drama as we could muster when the spider sits down beside her. This dramatic rehearsing was quickly followed with lots of laughter and snuggles.

To make the nursery rhyme even more fun, we did a simple craft to go along with Little Miss Muffet.

Since we wanted a spider to come sit down beside us, I thought a simple spider craft was in order.

What you need:

painting a spider

This is such a simple craft!

What to do:

I just cut out a section of the egg carton and let my little one paint it black.

Then, we poked holes in the sides to slide the pipe cleaners through. This is great for working fine motor skills!

Next we glued on some googly eyes and drew on a mouth (not pictured).

Voila! You have a spider to accompany your Little Miss Muffet Nursery rhyme!
