Intentional Conversations: God Does Not Attack Your Character

Welcome to another week of Intentional Conversations!

Do you ever feel the Lord calling you to stretch far outside your comfort zone, abilities, and maybe even desires to do something for Him? Right now, I’m working with a designer to create a go-to resource for you here at Intentional By Grace. Big things are in the works. God has given me a vision, along with several others, that I think you’ll really get excited about.

However, I feel completely incapable. I feel like God is asking too much of me. I’ve been plagued by fear and worry. I doubt God’s goodness and willingness to see me through this project. I’m so limited in my abilities, and I feel like my network is far too small to ever bring these plans to fruition. I’m sure I’m not alone in succumbing to doubt and fear. Join me for today’s Intentional Conversation?

Remember, friends, God does not attack our character. He has given us freedom through Christ.

For this reason I remind you to fan into flame the gift of God, which is in you through the laying on of my hands, for God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control. -2 Timothy 1:6-7

Also, I mentioned in the video a survey. Would you take a moment to fill out my survey, if you haven’t already? This will help me as I work on making Intentional By Grace a better place for community to grow and for your hearts to be encouraged. I appreciate your time more than you will ever know.

By the way, if you’re enjoying this post, please consider subscribing to my blog. In return, I’ll give a free copy of my ebook: A Surrendered Marriage – A Guide to Intentional Conversations.

  1. Leigh Ann, this is such a great video!
First of all, LOVE the new blog design. Very clean & bright.
Secondly, this is such a great encouragement, for anyone desiring to do the Lord’s will. He doesn’t call us to a certain path by making us afraid of another path. Although it’s natural to be timid about His calling, it makes sense that He will give us confidence and a passion for His calling as well. Thank you so much for being an example to me by following the Lord and for the time you invest into sharing His truth with us readers!
