Intentional Conversations: All About Quiet Time

Welcome to another week of Intentional Conversations! Don’t know what an Intentional Conversation is? Learn more here.

We’re in the middle of a True Woman 101 Bible Study here at Intentional By Grace as we gear up for the True Woman 2012 Conference. As I was spending time in my study this morning, I thought it would be nice to share my space with you (after I was done with my own study of course!). I also have a challenge for you!

Unfortunately I can’t see the video (it’s on my end not yours…so don’t panic) but the whole intentional conversations speaks volumes to me. How many times I’ve sat with my husband or children and listened with a half ear. I need to be more respectful of their attention and be present because I will miss so much if I’m not.

Thank you for this challenge. Growing up, my quiet time space was on the top shelf of my closet. Since then, I have longed for a truly alone space. Now with three little ones, I have struggled to find a space or a time (or both) to consistently have my quiet time. As we are finally leaving the days of nursing through the night and are entering a more normal sleep schedule, the thought of waking up before the children seems possible – finally! It would bless my husband as well for us to wake together and drink coffee as we have quiet times over breakfast. We could hold each other more accountable too. As for my space, I inherited a fabulous orange striped chair from my grandmother. It is smaller so not a great fit for most adults, but it fits me perfectly! Thanks for linking up at Thrive @ Home!
