Intentional Conversation: The Lord Accepts Your Prayer

Welcome back to Intentional Conversations! This week I believe the Lord has a word for those of us in a season of tears and pleas for the Lord to make good on His promise to us. During my quiet time I found myself asking God if He even cared that I was crying my eyes out, or if He even heard me when I prayed. I was beginning to grow concerned that my prayers weren’t making it past the ceiling.

Friends, I assure you, He does see our tears, He does care, and He has a promise for you.

The Lord is at work, my friends! As you walk through this weary trial, soaking your bed in tears, believe God’s Word.

I am weary with my moaning; every night I flood my bed with tears; I drench my couch with my weeping. My eye wastes away because of grief; it grows weak because of all my foes.

Depart from me, all you workers of evil, for the Lord has heard the sound of my weeping. The Lord has heard my plea; the Lord accepts my prayer.

~Psalm 6:6-9, ESV {emphasis mine}

As you wait upon the Lord, remember to choose joy, serve others, and continue in prayer! <–Tweet This! God has heard you. God accepts your prayer. Now watch with eyes wide open for the glory of the Lord to be revealed.

Are you in the middle of a tear-filled trial? How can I pray for you?

  1. It is so good to know that God hears our prayers and will answer them. The answer may not be what we want or expect, but we can be confident that His answer is for our good and for His glory. Thanks for the encouragement today, friend!

  2. Thanks for the encouragement today! I’m not in a “trial” but there have certainly been tears shed during middle of the night feelings and nights when the babies won’t sleep at the same time lol!

  3. Good words. The waiting is long and hard. We got a “No” answer recently. That was tough too. Still, I pray and wait for the answer to what’s next. Thank you for your encouragement.

    1. I’m glad you were encouraged. I know the waiting for the answer for what’s next is hard. That’s where we are. I’m grateful for David’s words in times like these.
