How to Host a Neighborhood Pancake Breakfast {Homemakers Challenge}

Do you remember the days when you knew who lived next door, up the street, and around the corner? Summer was a great time for catching fire flies with friends, grilling out with family, and taking endless picnics at the local park. There was always something fun to do right next door. Unfortunately, with time, this tradition has changed. We rarely take time to get to know the people on the other side of our white picket fence.

White Fence
My husband and I decided a few years ago to set one Saturday aside each year and host a pancake breakfast. We make it kid friendly and roll out the hot cakes for as long as people want to stay.

Maybe you want to have a pancake breakfast too, but don’t know where to start. Well, you’ve come to the right place. If nothing else, you’re about to score some really amazing hot cake recipes!

Join me over at Homemakers Challenge today where I will share with you everything you need to know to host your very own pancake breakfast! {Continue reading here.}

    Sounds like a great idea! During the summer, we do a neighbourhood potluck on a Saturday or Sunday evening… it’s lots of fun. Someone drags out a table, someone else a BBQ, most of us our chairs, and we all bring some food and sit around talking while the kids play in the park. A pancake breakfast would be fun too! 🙂

      I like the idea of a potluck BBQ! Love this! We have a great park that would be great to do this at. Thanks, Bonnie!
