Fall Prayer Cards for Your Home (Free Printable Prayer Cards)

Praying for your home is one of the best ways you can give life within your home. Checkout these fall prayer cards for your home and start breathing life into your home.

As the seasons change, I find myself looking at my home with a new gaze.

Sometimes I ask are:

  • What areas in my home need a fresh look?
  • What can I declutter to make life easier, simpler?
  • What’s an area I can put some focused time and effort into improving?
  • Is there anything in my home I’ve been putting off that I need to just finish?

Along with the arrival of cooler days and longer nights, the gentle breezes welcome the opportunity to renew my commitment to my home.

Spring tends toward cleaning and decluttering.

Summer beckons for open spaces and ready to go bins and bags.

Winter welcomes warmth and festivities.

Fall is for welcoming the harvest and transitioning to colder times.

And fall is what I want to talk about today.

Living Room

Thank You, Jesus, for this space to call home. Thank You for a place we can gather and rest, cuddle and play. May Your presence fill every corner of this room, and may the faith of all who enter this space increase as they encounter Your rest and peace.

Children’s Bedroom

Lord, thank You for these little treasures You’ve given me. Help them to grow in wisdom and stature and in favor with God and man. May they seek hard after You in every season of their lives, and may many more come to know You through their faith. As my children enter their bedrooms, Lord, make Your presence known; help them to know they are Yours and You love them with an unending love.

Master Bedroom

“Come to me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest” (Matt. 11:28). Jesus, You are our rest. May this room be full of the gentle spirit of Your presence. May You bind our hearts together in You. Help us to love one another deeply, and may our room be a place of comfort and renewal at the end of each day.

Closets

Lord, thank You for warm clothes to wear and shoes for my feet. As the weather shifts into the crisp chill of autumn, I look to You for my covering. I look to You for my warmth. As I dress for each day, Father, grant me the wisdom to walk in Your ways. Guide me today, and everyday.

Kitchen

God, thank You for the provisions to feed my family and all who enter this home. Thank You for the gift of food and fellowship. As we prepare the food for the table, may Your mercy never be lost on us. May we never take for granted this gift of abundance, and as we experience the joy of harvest this year, help us to find new and fresh ways to serve the least of these in our midst.

Outdoor Space

Lord, thank You for the seasons. Thank You for the falling leaves and the cooling breezes. Lord, help us to care for the outdoor spaces of our home for Your glory, so that Your beauty and creativity might be on display for all to see. Help us, too, Lord, to open our hands to our neighbors this fall. Give us creative ideas for welcoming our neighbors into our hearts and home.

Play Areas

Oh, the frolics of children hard at play after a long, hot summer. Thank You for the joy that can be found in the changing of seasons: a pile of leaves, a backyard fort and earlier nights. Help my children enjoy Your good gifts of nature, and in every play space in our home, may our children honor one another and show kindness to all who enter.

Bathrooms

Lord, thank You for Your gift of salvation through Jesus Christ. As we care for our bodies in this place, help us to root our thoughts and beliefs in who You say we are. Give us grace to see ourselves the way You see us, holy and beloved, washed clean by the blood of the Lamb. Give us fresh faith as we renew our hearts and minds in You.

Laundry Area

“Where no oxen are, the manger is clean” (Prov. 14:4a). Thank You for the filthy clothes littering my laundry room floor. As we bring our clothes to be washed each week, may we bring our hearts to You for renewal and refreshing. Grant us clean hearts, O God, as we turn our hearts to You.

Entry Way

Welcome! Welcome! Welcome all who enter. Whether it’s family or friends, stranger or repairman, may this home be a place of welcome and retreat for all who enter.

Hallways

You are the light of the world, Jesus. You alone are the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through You. As we walk the hallways of our home, Lord, may we remember that the pathway to righteousness is narrow, but we know the way because we have You.

Praying for our homes is such a privilege.

A privilege that takes intentionality and mindfulness to make happen.

But you can do it!

The changing of the seasons is a great time to renew your commitment to prayer for your home.
