A Collection of Books About Womanhood
Are you looking for books to add to your Christian reading list? Today’s post will help you add books about womanhood to the stack!

One of the categories in the 2019 Intentional By Grace Reading Challenge is “womanhood.”
This is a hot topic in our culture and churches right now, and we thought it would be helpful to pull together a list of book suggestions for this category.
As women, we were made to give life.
Therefore, today we’re sharing 10 books related to the topic of womanhood that we mined out of the sea of Christian reading material to help guide you into a deeper knowledge on this topic.
Because I believe the more we know (and understand perspectives) of others, the better we will love and help bring wholeness to those we come in contact with through our words, actions, and attitudes.

This is Christian community as God designed it. Read this book and take your relationships to new depths, that your life might find its fullest meaning as you adorn the gospel of Christ.
Let Me Be a Woman, by Elisabeth Elliot

Kingdom Woman, by Tony Evans and Chrystal Evans Hurst

The authors bring insight that encourages women to correct distorted perceptions and understand who they really are in Christ―never settling for less when connected with the One who gives them hope.
Jesus, Justice, and Gender Roles, by Kathy Keller
In this unapologetic but nuanced piece, Keller presents a caring and careful case for biblical gender differences and the complementarian view of women in ministry. At the same time, she encourages women to teach and lead in the church in ways that may startle some complementarians.
Finding Eve, by Rita Springer
Finding Eve follows Eve’s journey to find her way back to God’s heart and to discover her true identity as a daughter of God. This book is designed to encourage women who may be facing disappointment, the fallout from bad choices, or the pain of unfilled dreams. Radical Womanhood, by Carolyn McCulley
Biblical womanhood is not for the weak. In an age that seeks to obliterate God and His authority, modeling biblical womanhood involves spiritual warfare. Radical Womanhood seeks to equip new believers and long-time Christians alike, exposing the anti-God agenda of the three waves of feminism to date and presenting the pro-woman truth of the Scriptures.
Stepping Heavenward, by Elizabeth Prentiss
First published in 1869, this classic from Elizabeth Prentiss follows a young girl on the verge of womanhood as she discovers what true happiness is and how it is to be obtained. Written as a diary account over the course of several years, this story follows Katherine on her journey through life, as she learns Godly wisdom through her various life experiences and from her many trials and tribulations.

I do not know how I came across your blog, but I am very thankful I did! I did join the reading challenge. I usually just read novels for pleasure, but I have made a goal of reading 1 book from your list of suggestions per month (either topic or actual book). So far I have read Conversations with Myself by Nelson Mandela and Dance, Stand, Run by Jess Connolly. I am also REALLY enjoying your podcast (have never listened to one before so had to actually download a listening app LOL) but I thank you so much for your ministry.
I’m so glad you’re here. 🙂
