2019 Intentional By Grace Reading Challenge

Do you love to read? Do you want to read more in 2019? Do you want to grow spiritually, mentally, and emotionally in 2019?

Then, it is with great anticipation and excitement that I share with you…

The 2019 Intentional By Grace Reading Challenge!

Whether you love to read or not, I think this 2019 Christian Women’s Reading Challenge is just what you need to kick start your 2019 in the right direction.

Really, I do.

Join the Intentional By Grace Reading Challenge 2019!

I have found that reading plays a key role in my spiritual growth each year.

The Apostle Paul said in Romans 12:2 that we should be transformed by the renewal of our minds, so that we may discern the will of God, and do what is good and acceptable and pleasing to Him.

…Discern God’s will and do God’s will…

We can only live in obedience to what we know, and I am convinced that reading is the pathway to wisdom.

And it is wisdom we so desperately need (reference the entire book of Proverbs). 🙂

Of course, the primary book we need to be reading is God word, but reading books written by others is a great way to renew our minds in a variety of ways.

Books not only help you grow in your walk with the Lord, but…

Books can help you increase your love for others.

One of my goals for 2019 is to lead you in reading good books that help you love others better.

  • Books that help you fight injustice, poverty, and oppression.
  • Books that expand your thinking and even take you outside your comfort zone.
  • Books that help you become the woman of God you were created to be.

Creating this Christian women’s reading challenge is just one way I want to help you grow in your love for God and others!

  • Book suggestions for each category
  • and more!

Step 3: Choose Your Challenge Level

Book-Lovers! It's time for the 2019 Intentional By Grace Reading Challenge! Read more in 2019 with this Christian women's reading challenge!

The 2019 Christian Women’s Reading Challenge is composed of 3 different book lists, which you are meant to move through progressively. This means you will need to set your goal at the beginning of the year, and then set your pace accordingly.

  • Level 1 consists of 13 books which sets a pace of 1 book every 4 weeks.
  • Level 2 consists of 26 books which sets a pace of 1 book every 2 weeks.
  • Level 3 consists of 52 books which sets a pace of 1 book every week.

When setting your reading goals for the challenge, be sure to actually… well, challenge yourself.

A few years ago I challenged myself to read 104 books in one year. I didn’t make it, but I read more that year than I ever had before.

It was an invaluable effort, and I grew in disciplining myself in ways I hadn’t previously thought possible. Not to mention, my mind expanded, and I grew in knowledge and understanding in areas not previously open to me.

So, challenge yourself to read more this year than ever before. It’s an investment worth making.

Step 4: Choose Your Books

You’ll notice that this reading challenge is made up of various book categories.

Start with Level 1.

Choose the books from each category in this level, and read them in any order, checking them off as you complete them.

Once you complete Level 1, move on to Level 2. So on and so forth.

Book-Lovers! It's time for the 2019 Intentional By Grace Reading Challenge! Read more in 2019 with this Christian women's reading challenge!

Again, set your reading goal at the beginning of the year, so you can pace yourself throughout the year.

Finally, I want to point out that this reading challenge includes “a book from the New Testament” and “a book from the Old Testament.”

I wanted to include these as reading categories because I think there is value in simply reading the Bible.

Sure, we should study His word, but sometimes, we should just curl up with a cup of tea or coffee and just BE with Him.

So, these are two categories that I hope you’re excited about.

Will there be a 2020 reading challenge in the next month or do I need to start the 2019 reading challenge now?
