One of our favorite date night activities involves sharing a cozy blanket, a hot cup of tea, and just read together. There is something romantic about sharing a story, and it’s a fun way to bond and connect. Plus, taking time to read together gives us material for meaningful conversations.
We started reading together a few years ago off and on, but over time it’s become a part of our daily rhythm. Because we go to bed together, we are able to read one or two chapters before lights out (of course, assuming a little one isn’t in bed with us…seasons, right?).
This year we decided to put together a list of books to read together. This helps us to be intentional with our selections, and it helps me to be able to either purchase them or put them on hold at the library in time. Who knows when we will finish this list, but we’ll just chug along bit-by-bit and enjoy the journey!
