Memorizing scripture is incredibly difficult at times, especially with toddlers running around. However, difficult or not, it doesn’t change the fact that scripture memorization is vital to the health of our spiritual life. Therefore, we have implemented the Scripture Memory Challenge as an Intentional By Grace community. We want to invite you to join us in passionately pursuing God through His Word by memorizing one verse a week. The weekly memory verses are posted at the first of each month on the Womanhood Channel, as well as below!
In addition, each month we provide you with printables containing scripture memory cards you can print off and carry with you throughout the day. So if you haven’t subscribed to Intentional By Grace, now is a great time to do so! You can subscribe via email or RSS. You will also find a downloadable link at the bottom of your next email/RSS delivery.

How We Keep Track of Our Verses
We use Scripture Memory Challenge Tracking Worksheets. You can learn how to use them here.
Why Should We Memorize Scripture
If we go into the wilderness with Jesus as He was being tempted by the Devil (Matthew 4:1-11), we will find that He combated each of Satan’s accusations with the Word of God. Jesus believed it when God said His Word is our sword. It was this recollection of scripture that resulted in Jesus’ victory over the temptations of the Devil. The very same Spirit that stirred up the Word in Jesus’ mind when He needed it most is the same Spirit and power that is available to us.
Once the verses are woven into our arsenal, we will then be able to draw from them at varying times throughout the day to meditate on truth, combat depression, put sin to death, and various other benefits of having God’s Word stored in our hearts.
Memorization allows the Word to come to life in our lives. It is one thing to feel moved by something you read in the Bible, it is another to allow it to live in you – to change you. Let us be changed by the living Word! We will dig deeper – more than just memorizing the Word. We will strive to better understand it.
Join our Intentional By Grace Facebook Community
If you would like additional accountability, then we invite you to join us in our Facebook group for the Intentional By Grace community. You can ask to join our private group here. It is in this group that we can hold one another accountable to memorizing the weekly verses, as well as share prayer requests, and stir one another on toward growth in godliness.
Please share about our challenge so we can literally spread the Word!

When are these going to resume? I was using these as a discipling tool with a co-worker. I hope that they are not going to be discontinued for good.
Thank you.
Oh my! We have plans to resume but some things have put them on the back burner (i.e., moving, blog owners in first trimester…). My goal is to have something new out in February. Pray for me!
No worries … I’m just VERY happy they’ll be coming back. I will pray for you.
