Live for God’s Glory!

Welcome to anotherĀ Intentional Conversation! I pray you have just a few moments (6 actually) to sit down and watch me converse with you! If you can’t watch the video (or simply want to refer back) you can view some notes below the video. Enjoy! Today we discuss choosing to live for God’s glory!

{If you can’t see the video, then click here: Live for God’s Glory!}

Pin or Share (or print!) as you wish to let others know this year, it isn’t about you at all!!

Video Notes

1 Corinthians 10:31: “Therefore, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.”

As I mentioned in the video, we should each day ask ourselves, “Am I living for the honor of my Lord?”

2 Corinthians 3:18: “But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.”

The more we seek His glory, the more we strive to bring honor to God, the more we recognize sin in our lives, the more we turn from our sin, the closer to God we get. Isn’t it a beautiful picture?

How are you choosing to live for His glory today?

    Such a wonderful reminder. Our day is not off to a great start. So heeding this advice and will take five minutes with The Lord, and then give my baby some “good” mommy time.

  3. Carlie V. says:

    Every night, as I rock my daughter to sleep, I talk with God about the day: what’s gone right and what hasn’t, what I know to be true and what I need Him to help me understand. Tonight I confessed that today didn’t go very well. I didn’t mother very intentionally, I was distracted and not very productive, and I certainly didn’t go through the day with Him as the focus. You know those days. We ALL have those days.

    And after I tucked her in, I opened my blog reader and listened to today’s conversation with you, and it was exactly what I needed to hear. A gentle reminder that giving glory to God in our actions is what we are called to do. I just wanted to let you know that God used your words to speak to my heart tonight.

    Thanks Nikki!

Thus I have seen You in the sanctuary, To see Your power and Your glory. Because You lovingkindness is better than life. My lips will praise You. So I will bless You as long as I live; I will lift up my hands in Your name. My soul is satisfied as with marrow and fatness, And my mouth offers praises with joyful lips.” Psalm 63:1-5 *Don’t forget to check out Nikki’s vlog: Live for God’s Glory! [...]
