Making Babies Book and DVD Series Review & Giveaway

I am completely and totally enthralled by the miracle of life. I’m fascinated by how God has uniquely designed women to create, bear, birth, and nurture new life in the form of babies!

With Samuel, I loved being pregnant. I enjoyed the entire process from exhaustion to cravings to nesting to sweating like a pig to just about everything. Yes, some parts were difficult, and some parts I was ready to quickly move past. But the first flutter within your abdomen, the kicks that you mistake for gas, the swelling of your belly, the foot imprint below your naval, the closeness, the life, the miracle is a wonder to behold and pregnancy is a season to be cherished.

As you know, my family takes a natural approach to medicine – as much as we can and have knowledge for. When it comes to babies, this approach remains true. Samuel was born at a birth center in his own time without scheduling an induction based on our life schedule; instead, we opted to use a few natural means to help our labor progress. We love utilizing the means God has created for us in nature to help keep our bodies healthy, and pregnancy is no exception!

When I received my Making Babies Book and DVD Series to review, I was beside myself with excitement. I kept telling Mark that I wished I had this book when I was pregnant! It is filled with helpful tips and tricks for each trimester, as well as delicious recipes (including gluten free), body care, and herbal remedies. Making Babies Book and DVD Series follows Shoshanna through her pregnancy, birth, and 6 months postpartum.

Making Babies DVD Series is packed with over 7 hours of delicious recipes, herbal remedies, pregnancy tips, Shoshanna’s birth experience and interviews with professionals: Dr. Johan Dinkelmann DC, Dr. Nancy Armetta MD, Elaine Wakeland CNM, and Dr. Jay Gordon MD, FAAP. My hubby and I watched them together and we got so tickled with Shoshanna. She’s just so real! I felt like I was in the kitchen with her just waiting for her to serve up her yummy energy balls or pancakes while laughing that she forgot the eggs.

Making Babies Book covers information that is in the Making Babies DVD Series volumes 1, 2, and 3, and includes many deliciously healthy gluten-free recipes, grandma’s remedies, herbal concoctions, need-to-know facts, and a baby diary to learn and journal about your baby experience. It is packed with 480 beautiful pages of research about fertility, conception, morning sickness, pregnancy, birth, nursing, postpartum issues, losing weight, and more!

I have had my copy for almost two months, and the pages are already beginning to look worn (and stained). I use it THAT MUCH! We’ve experimented with spa water, Tilapia on a Bed of herban rice, asapargus (Sam’s favorite vegetable), egg shell water, sugar scrub, cucumber and tomatoes in yogurt (Sam’s favorite snack), hummus and more! Not to mention, the amount of amazing information on how to treat our bodies with herbal tinctures and teas! We have only begun to break the surface with Making Babies Book and DVD Series.

And because I love photography, I have to comment on the amazing artwork woven within the pages of this book. The pictures are inspiring and full of life! Shoshanna’s family is beautiful, and they capture beauty in creation in a way that caused me to sing praises to God! He is truly the creator of beauty!

The Making Babies Book and DVD Series is a must have for every mom whether you’re hoping to be pregnant, are pregnant, or still in your child bearing years. This is an invaluable resource that I cannot keep my mouth shut about. I don’t get excited about a whole lot, giddy excited that is, but this series, I get really excited about! I have flipped through this book from cover to cover in one sitting at least three or four times (yes, all 480 pages worth). Even though I’m not pregnant now, I plan on learning to prepare these herbs as well as the fertility herbs in the meantime. As a matter of fact, my herbs arrived in the mail from The Bulk Herb Store just last week, and I have my concoctions brewing in my cupboard as we speak.

I’m super excited to tell you that The Bulk Herb Store is offering 40% off to Intentional By Grace readers when you purchase your copy of the Making Babies Book and DVD Series through the The Bulk Herb Store. I am 5 weeks pregnant with our fourth. Our first was born in the hospital with great regret. We agreed to an induction at “42 weeks ” and ended in emergency c-section. Our second was born into heaven at 10 weeks gestational age. Our third was born at home v-bac with Midwife support . We are planning on our new little one to be born at home with midwife support too. We also opt for natural approach to life and wellness so I think this book would be a great help.
